Vice President of M&A
Mike’s experience includes serving small business and middle-market companies in an advisory capacity or working on the business side over the past 15 years. As a Vice President of M&A for MD Healthcare Partners, Mike oversees add-on acquisitions for the ortho business as well as FP&A activities for the gastro business. Mike works closely with the MDHP executive team coordinating with the various departments and diligence workstreams. As a Vice President of Corporate Development for Refresh Mental Health, Mike spent a few years overseeing the M&A team and executing over ten equity and asset transactions that added to Refresh’s portfolio of psychiatry and therapy practices across the country. Mike gained further experience in financial and operational due diligence through working with various stakeholders of the organization to ensure a successful and profitable transition. Refresh was recently acquired by United Health Group and integrated into Optum’s Care Delivery business in March 2022. As a Manager in the Elliott Davis Transaction Advisory Services Practice, Mike spent over three years overseeing the healthcare team that specialized in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence of mergers and acquisitions, and other mezzanine transactions serving both private equity and corporate/strategic customers.
Prior to joining Elliott Davis, Mike was with RSM for over four years where he gained his CPA license and held a Senior Associate position in Transaction Advisory Services and Assurance Services. Outside of public accounting, Mike has helped lead and manage various small businesses for a total of over five years while living in either Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina.
